Voice of Compassion works to provide help to the Tahanan ng Kabataan Center, an orphanage in Cagayan de Oro, in the Philippines. 

A Simple Beginning... Answered Prayers

In the past year, VOC was able to send 4 large Balik-Bayan (going home boxes) to the Tahanan ng Kabataan (Home of the homeless children).

The boxes contained clothing, bedding, basket & soccer balls, food, candies, school supplies, soap, tooth brushes, paste & other miscellaneous items.  We also have been able to send about $400.00 which was used to purchase a washer, mattresses, material to make clothes & hair clippers. The Tahanan Ng Kabataan administrator, Violy V. Data, and all the residents in a home greatly appreciated the help they had received.  The conditions were difficult there, but the children and the people working for the orphanage are so happy, and shared their joy with us.

Hopefully, the good work here can continue to grow and assist the people and children in need in the Philippines in the years to come.
