Missions Rummage Sales
Above is a picture from one of our October Missions Rummage Sales.
One of our most effective means of raising support is through rummage sales. We sponsor Missions Rummage Sales at The Vine Christian Fellowship in Appleton, WI, and also rummage sales at Amherst Bible Church in Amherst, WI.
We receive rummage sale items from many sources; personal friends, business acquaintances, church groups, leftovers from other rummage sales, and even some new items are donated from businesses. We accept donations anytime throughout the year. All items that are donated are tax deductible for the donor. We take
care in sorting through the donations and selecting the best merchandise to put in the sale. We clean all the clothing, and repair items that we can. We take great pleasure in knowing that our rummage sales are filled with high quality merchandise, at the best prices around. Many of the items that are donated for the sales, are distributed (usually free of charge) to people in need locally, and to others in Haiti, Mexico, Poland, and the
Philippines.
During the sale, we have many volunteers who help with all the work of the sale; hauling, setting up, working at the sale, tearing down and packing up the leftovers. It is a great time of fellowship for all who get involved.
