Successful Delivery to the Tahanan ng Kabataan Orphanage - Philippines.

In the past year, VOC sent 4 large Balik-Bayan (going home boxes) to the Tahanan ng Kabataan (Home of the Homeless Children) in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines. The children and the orphanage staff were very grateful for the boxes and the financial contributions. We have much to do to further the help for these homeless children in the name of Jesus, but we have been encouraged by all that God has done to make this possible ~ certainly the burden is light when we have the joy of knowing the impact our efforts are having on real situations and real lives. The joy of the Lord is our strength.

I scored very high - not because I read a lot of great literature but probably because I am profoundly hearing impaired, and therefore have compensated for my bad hearing by depending more on my sense of sight, which means looking closely at people's faces to better grasp what they are saying (and in what "tone").

Just looking closely at the eyes and using process of elimination I was able to get 32/36. I also found it helped when I tried to picture what the rest of their face would look like.

A different explanation might be- you answered the easy ones quickly, and for the difficult ones you took your time. And the research does show that we make judgments automatically, but the more interesting question to me is, does thinking carefully improve accuracy of emotion reading?

Maybe it correlates to working with more men in my history.. also when wrong I went to a more negative emotion than what was pictured.
